CEX.IO ranked third among the safest cryptocurrency exchanges by CryptoCompare

We’re excited and humbled to have received another recognition of the quality of our service from a prominent resource CryptoCompare. CEX.IO has been ranked among the top 10 digital asset exchanges in the February 2021 CryptoCompare Exchange Benchmark rating.

In the report, CryptoCompare evaluated more than 160 providers around the world using 68 qualitative and quantitative metrics, such as:

  • Compliance with regulations
  • Recent negative events
  • Platform security
  • Market quality
  • Data provision
  • KYC and transaction risk
  • Project teams
  • Asset diversity

CEX.IO had already been ranked among the top 10 exchanges in July 2020 Exchange Benchmark Report. Since then we secured the spot of the third most secure exchange service.

CEX.IO has received an A grade both times, while now CEX.IO moved up in the list, taking the 8th place among digital asset exchanges.

In the “Security” category, CEX.IO received 12.5 points out of 15, outscoring such major exchanges like Binance, Kraken, Bitstamp, Huobi, Bittrex, and Bitfinex.

In addition to security, we received an excellent score in the categories:

  • “Quality/Diversity of Assets”  — 4.8 out of 5 points
  • “Data Provision”  — 10.4 out of 15 points

In these rankings, CEX.IO secured the 7th and 10th spots, respectively.

Such high marks prove our dedication to operate a fully transparent service and offer a wide and carefully evaluated range of digital assets for our customers.

We are delighted to prove the high-level quality of our service again and be among the top 10 cryptocurrency exchanges. We all had a good celebration and the entire CEX.IO team cheered champagne-filled glasses over a Zoom call. We are inspired and look forward to conquering the next frontier. We have plenty of room to improve. And we are already at it!
