Google’s latest cryptocurrency feature allows select Ethereum wallet addresses to track their Ether balances directly from the Google search engine, eliminating the need to visit Etherscan.
Han Hua, Principal of Google Ventures, initially announced the functionality on Twitter on October 11.
Apparently, the feature is not available for Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency.
“Does Google not know about Bitcoin?” tweeted angel investor Stephen Cole.
SadPanda.blockchain, the former editor-in-chief of Web3ArtBlog.NFT, however, was not pleased with the announcement, claiming that Google “would sell our blockchain data to marketers in order to target us via our wallets!”
