Authentick has raised $4 million in a seed round led by Menyala, a unit of Singapore’s state-owned investment company Temasek. The company aims to enable users to purchase digital collectibles and verify their authenticity without requiring a Web3 wallet or exchange. The investment comes after Temasek’s failed investment in cryptocurrency exchange FTX, which drew criticism from some sectors of society.
