Authorities in Miri on the island of Borneo have seized 34 cryptocurrency mining servers using stolen electricity through cable tapping. According to the local press, Sarawak Energy dismantled the operation after receiving a tip-off. Police are investigating, while Sarawak Energy estimated the servers were stealing $1,300 worth of electricity per month. In January this year, police in the state of Senadin seized over 137 cryptocurrency rigs also used to illegally mine bitcoin.
