SlowMist Security has issued an alert after discovering that malicious scripts are targeting http://friend.tech (ft), a site which holds users’ cryptocurrency wallets. The JavaScript-based code is invading potential victim’s systems by persuading users to add it as a bookmark and then stealing passwords and associated tokens, putting users’ accounts and funds at risk. The techniques used are already familiar as they are used to focus on Discord accounts, making it clear that criminals are following users across multiple platforms.
